Football Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Ramona Rams 34-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost eight in a row.

It was another big night for Lorenzo Sims, who rushed for 177 yards and three scores while picking up 11.1 yards per carry for Ramona. Sims is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 174 every time he's taken the field this season. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Michael White, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Poly now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ramona, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Poly and Ramona will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bears see the field they'll take on Hemet at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Ramona, their break will end when they face Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
