Volleyball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Comes Up Short

Washington-Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes.

Washington-Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Monroe Area, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Coming up, Washington-Wilkes will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Oglethorpe County at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Monroe Area, they will be taking part in a tournament against Loganville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
