Football Recap: Elgin Finds Home Field Redemption Against Cove + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Elgin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Cove Leopards 40-22 on Friday. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 56-18 win the Leopards walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Elgin pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points over those games. As for Cove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will challenge Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat/Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cove, they will square off against Pilot Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
