Basketball Game Preview: Galeton Tigers vs. Otto-Eldred Terrors

Galeton hasn't had much luck against Otto-Eldred recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Galeton Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Otto-Eldred Terrors at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Galeton turned things around against Smethport on Friday. They came out on top against the Hubbers by a score of 41-31.

Galeton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Max Schloegel, who posted 12 points, and MASYN MALACZEWSKI, who scored 12 points along with five boards and three blocks. MALACZEWSKI has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden WARD, who had five points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 73-26 victory over Moniteau. Given the Terrors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Warriors are ranked 612th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Otto-Eldred's win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Galeton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.

Galeton was taken down by Otto-Eldred 69-11 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Galeton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
