Recap: Cumberland Valley Eagles vs. Harrisburg Cougars
The Cumberland Valley Eagles waltzed into their contest Tuesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. Everything went their way against Harrisburg as Cumberland Valley made off with a 66-43 victory. The result was nothing new for Cumberland Valley, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Nolan Buzalka, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Dolimpio, who scored 12 points.
Cumberland Valley pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Harrisburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Cumberland Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Northeastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Cumberland Valley is ranked 17th). As for Harrisburg, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carlisle at 7:30 p.m.
