Softball Recap: Arlington Eagles vs. Mount Vernon Bulldogs
Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mount Vernon Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.
Kinsey Marchand spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
