Basketball Game Preview: McCook Bison vs. Ogallala Indians

The McCook Bison will head out to square off against the Ogallala Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

McCook saw some tournament action on Thursday. They blew past Valentine 71-25. The Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ogallala's undefeated season came to an end after 17 games on Saturday. They fell to Cozad 66-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Indians still had to take the loss.

McCook is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Ogallala, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1.

McCook was taken down by Ogallala 73-36 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can McCook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
