Darrington dropped their record down to 6-3 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Granite Falls Tigers, falling 10-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Loggers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Granite Falls, they now have a winning record of 6-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

For Granite Falls' part, Natalie Klepper was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those ten strikeouts gave Klepper a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Morgan Lachapelle was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Addy Haverfield, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Darrington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-4 win against Orcas Island on the 26th. As for Granite Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against South Whidbey on the 24th.
