Basketball Recap: Merrimack Comes Up Short

Merrimack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 68-16 loss at the hands of the Bishop Guertin Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Tomahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Cardinals are ranked ninth).

Merrimack's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Bishop Guertin, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

While Merrimack had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
