Brennen Oxford needs two more gems to tie a national record for most consecutive no-nos.

See Gavin Williams (Fayetteville, N.C.) fire two straight no-hitters, but read below about Brennen Oxford, who has doubled that total.

Brennen Oxford called it a "ride." Future opponents of the Oyster River (Durham, N.H.) junior might not want to get on.

Oxford tossed his fourth straight no-hitter Thursday, striking out 13 in a 6-0 win over Hollis-Brookline, according to seacoastonline.com.

His hitless streak is at 30.2 innings, which includes 46 strikeouts and 13 walks. The 6-foot-2 lefty has committed to Wake Forest.

"It feels great," Oxford told MaxPreps reporter Lynden Ostrander via text. "It's been a nice ride. I feel good with all my pitches and my defense comes to play behind me game after game."

He walked two and hit a batter in Thursday's no-no, telling the newspaper it was the best of his four no-hitters.

"But (it's) still not good enough," he said. "I expect a lot out of myself. I had a few walks, so there is always something to work on."

Like another no-hitter?

Oxford needs two more gems to tie Tom Engle and Chris Taranto for most consecutive no-hitters.

According to the NFHS record book, Engle tossed six back-to-back no-hit games in 1989 for Fairfield Union (Lancaster, Ohio), and Taranto did the same in 1961 for Notre Dame (Biloxi, Ms.).

Four different pitchers have fired five consecutive no-hitters, the last being Patrick Schuster in 2009 for Mitchell (New Port Richey, Fla.).

Oxford's next start is scheduled for May 26 at home against Kingswood.
