With a playoff win on the line, Timnath rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Pagosa Springs Pirates 60-38. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Defeat or not, Pagosa Springs got some senior leadership from Karsyn Shahan and Elizabeth Currier. Shahan posted 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Currier scored eight points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shahan has scored all season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Timnath, bringing their record for this year to 23-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Pagosa Springs, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-8.

Timnath wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-46 defeat against Delta on the 14th. Pagosa Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
