McMinn Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Pigeon Forge Tigers 21-0 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Bryce Mullins was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 255 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. His passing game has become a key predictor of McMinn Central's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. 101 of Mullins' passing yards were hauled in by Jamez Moss, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Pigeon Forge lost, don't look at Ayden Hood. Despite the final result, he rushed for 138 yards. Hood's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 138 rushing yards.

McMinn Central's record now sits at 8-3. As for Pigeon Forge, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-7.
