Basketball Recap: Oviedo Takes a Loss

Oviedo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 54-46 to the Altamonte Christian Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly eight points.

Leading Altamonte Christian to victory were Alexis Hill and Kayleigh Cooper. Hill posted 17 points, while Cooper earned 13 points. That's the most points Hill has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Arianna Ritz, who had eight points.

Oviedo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Altamonte Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Oviedo has already played their next contest, a 47-28 win against Hagerty on the 16th. As for Altamonte Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-13 loss against Ocoee on the 16th.
