Soccer Recap: Palma Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palma can now relate to. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pioneer Mustangs who were credited with the win on Saturday. The Pioneer Mustangs got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Palma Chieftains' four. The Chieftains have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Palma's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Pioneer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Palma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pioneer, they will head out to challenge Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenfield's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
