Soccer Game Preview: Walton vs. Pensacola Catholic

Walton hasn't had much luck against Pensacola Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Walton Braves will be home for the holidays to greet the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Walton's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three games.

Walton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Bozeman with a sharp 7-0 victory. That seven goal margin sets a new team best for the Braves this season.

Their offense was hitting Bozeman from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Brayden Sampson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Pensacola Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Milton on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Pensacola Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Walton, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

Walton skirted past Pensacola Catholic 2-1 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Walton repeat their success, or does Pensacola Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
