On Tuesday, Wakefield faced Rolesville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wakefield Wolverines walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Rolesville Rams. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won 13 matches in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Aly Schaffer, who posted 18 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaya Hamilton, who earned 11 points.

Despite the loss, Rolesville still got an impressive performance from Camryn Lee, who went 5-for-8 en route to 15 points and five boards. Lee is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Caitlyn Jones was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 12 points and three steals.

Wakefield pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Rolesville, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-10.

Wakefield has already played their next game, an 81-39 win against Cleveland on the 25th. As for Rolesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 87-52 victory against Lumberton on the 25th.
