Baseball Recap: White Pine Find Success

White Pine got themselves on the board against Mohave Accelerated on Friday, but Mohave Accelerated never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Mohave Accelerated Patriots as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bobcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Maddox Sedlacek made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Jacob Hall was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Tucker Maestes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

White Pine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mohave Accelerated only posted an OBP of .158.

White Pine's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Mohave Accelerated, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as White Pine Bobcats face off against Chinle Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mohave Accelerated, they will challenge Mountainside at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
