Basketball Recap: Ramsey Takes a Loss

Ramsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincolnwood Lancers. The contest was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but the Rams couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Ramsey saw an underclassman step up: freshman Anna Benhoff almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards. Benhoff is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Ramsey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Lincolnwood, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Ramsey wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 42-38 win against Sandoval on the 20th. As for Lincolnwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-26 loss against Nokomis on the 22nd.
