Flag Football Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pomona can now relate to. They were dealt a 46-14 defeat at the hands of the Hillcrest Trojans on Tuesday. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belen Ibarra threw for 169 yards on 18 of 31 attempts. Reyna Rodriguez was her top target, picking up 87 receiving yards.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Hillcrest, they moved to 7-13-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Pomona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillcrest, they will square off against Godinez Fundamental at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Grizzlies' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
