Baseball Recap: James River Comes Up Short

James River lost against Glenvar on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Knights might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-1 to the Highlanders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

James River's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Glenvar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. James River is set to challenge their familiar foe Radford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Glenvar will face off against rival Floyd County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Highlanders 3.6, the Buffaloes 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
