Basketball Recap: East St. John Takes a Loss

East St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 57-43 fall against the Thibodaux Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

East St. John now has a losing record at 21-22. As for Thibodaux, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East St. John will challenge Central Lafourche at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East St. John is facing Central Lafourche at the right time seeing as Central Lafourche is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Thibodaux has already played their next game (against Hahnville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
