Baseball Recap: Cedar Ridge's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cedar Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Vista Ridge Rangers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 last Saturday.

Jason Mazoch looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Diego Olivas, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Cedar Ridge's record is now 15-6-1. As for Vista Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Cedar Ridge will head out to square off against McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Mavericks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Vista Ridge, they will host Manor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
