Baseball Recap: Momence Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Momence's offense. They came up short against the Reed-Custer Comets on Wednesday, falling 13-0. The Momence Athletics have struggled against the Comets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Momence's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Reed-Custer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Momence will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Momence Athletics are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Reed-Custer, they will head out to square off against Coal City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
