Baseball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Manhattan Indians. If the Grizzlies were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Manhattan, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manhattan, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-1 victory against Dodge City on the 21st.
