Basketball Recap: Blake Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Blake was handed a 40-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past the Freedom Patriots 38-35. That's more bragging rights for the Yellow Jackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Freedom's loss came despite strong showings from Cayley Vega and Emma Schroeder. Vega dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Schroeder posted 12 points and eight boards.

Blake moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Freedom, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Blake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-47 defeat against Plant City on the 25th. As for Freedom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-39 loss against Lennard on the 24th.
