Softball Recap: Carlsbad Comes Up Short

Carlsbad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the Poway Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-1 on March 1st.

Carlsbad saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madilyn Mazzulla, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Poway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Carlsbad will square off against Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Poway, they will take on Patrick Henry at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
