Volleyball Recap: Airport Comes Up Short

Airport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Gilbert Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.

Gilbert found their leader in freshman Abigail Widmann, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Airport's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Gilbert, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Airport has already played their next match (against Wagener-Salley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gilbert, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
