Baseball Recap: Warren County Find Success

Warren County proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spring Hill Raiders, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers have posted since March 27th.

Braden Whinnery looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Adams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryder Gilispie, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Warren County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-15. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Spring Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Warren County nor Spring Hill have any future games scheduled.
