Triway and Rootstown squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Triway had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rovers by a score of 6-4. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Triway's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Rootstown, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7-1.

Triway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rootstown, they will challenge South Range at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Rovers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
