Volleyball Recap: Mcdonald Starts Season with Win Against Mineral Ridge

McDonald had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Mineral Ridge Rams on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While McDonald might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mineral Ridge scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

McDonald can attribute much of their success to Miley Titus, who had 12 digs and one assist. Titus has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Mineral Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, McDonald will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mineral Ridge, they will head out to face off against Girard at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
