Clinton School comes up short despite Kate Stanley's dominant performance

Recap: Clinton School vs. Baruch College

If Clinton School were feeling good off their 54-23 takedown of the Van Arsdale Cardinals on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Clinton School fell 50-41 to Baruch College on Monday. It was the first time this season that Clinton School let down their fans at home.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kate Stanley. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stanley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sofia Tokarczyk, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and five assists.

Clinton School's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Baruch College, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton School will square off against Lab Museum United at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baruch College, they will head out on the road to face off against Bard at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
