Football Recap: Collins Hill Comes Up Short

Collins Hill was the 26-7 winner over Berkmar when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Collins Hill Eagles fell 14-7 to the Berkmar Patriots on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maya Dames had an outrageously good game for Berkmar as she rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Those 95 rushing yards gave Dames a new career-high. Santana Harris got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Collins Hill now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Berkmar, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Collins Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lanier at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Berkmar, they will play host again on Monday to welcome Brookwood, where kickoff is scheduled at 6:30 p.m.
