Softball Recap: Bell Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bronson, Bell was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the First Christian Lions 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Bella Sneed spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mayzie Carpenter was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.

Bell's record is now 4-6. As for First Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Coming up, Bell will face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.64 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for First Christian, they will take on IMG Academy Blue at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
