Softball Game Preview: Felicity-Franklin Cardinals vs. Lockland Panthers

The Felicity-Franklin Cardinals will square off against the Lockland Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Felicity-Franklin is looking for their season's first victory.

It was a proper cat-fight when Felicity-Franklin took on Bethel-Tate on Tuesday. The Cardinals lost 11-4 to the Tigers.

Felicity-Franklin saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alwxis Harless, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Lockland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Walnut Hills, falling 14-3.

Liselle Bradford was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Jhurne Clark also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Felicity-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lockland, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Felicity-Franklin took their win against Lockland in their previous matchup back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 10-3 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
