Lexington entered their tilt with Fredericktown on Monday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Freddies.

Makaree Chapman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lexington got a big performance out of Addy Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Williams' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alexis Cantrell, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Lexington pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Fredericktown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Lexington will square off against Norwalk at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fredericktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
