It was a good run, but Arroyo Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Fontana Steelers by a score of 11-10. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Steelers earlier this season, when they won 9-7.

Carlos Perez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Arroyo Valley's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-5. As for Fontana, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Arroyo Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Notre Dame at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fontana will square off against rival Rim of the World at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
