Volleyball Game Preview: Pomperaug Panthers vs. Shelton Gaels

The Pomperaug Panthers will challenge the Shelton Gaels at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Monday, Pomperaug made easy work of Bunnell and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pomperaug took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Shelton got the win against Hand on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Shelton was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-7.

Pomperaug pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Shelton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
