 Elgin fell victim to Larkin and their airtight pitching crew  on Thursday. They lost  15-0 to the Larkin Royals. Elgin's loss continues a  trend for the  squad, making it four in a row.
 Elgin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Grace Tetrev, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base.
 On Larkin's side,  Wemken Mackenzie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Mackenzie was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run.
 In other batting news, Larkin got a  massive  performance out of  Yesenia Escobar, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.  Kenya Ventura was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Larkin, they now  have a winning record of 10-9.
 Elgin will head out on the road to  take on  Fenton at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Larkin, they will play host again  on Monday to welcome Aurora East, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. Aurora East is coming into the  contest with eight straight  losses on the road,  meaning Larkin will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win.
