Basketball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wynnewood Savages. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Savages earlier this season, when they won 53-44.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Wynnewood, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

Lexington and Wynnewood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Lexington will take on Davis at 6:30 p.m. on January 28th down 285 places (371 vs. 86). Meanwhile, Wynnewood (ranked 343rd) will meet Wilson (ranked 164th) at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
