Soccer Game Preview: Edisto vs. North Charleston

Edisto will head out to take on North Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Edisto has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Edisto and Swansea, and Swansea kept the tradition alive. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers last Tuesday, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Edisto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Swansea are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, North Charleston made sure to put some goals up on the board against Orangeburg-Wilkinson last Thursday. They blew past the Bruins 5-0. Considering North Charleston's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The victory snapped North Charleston's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record. As for Edisto, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
