The Lamar Silver Foxes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Kingstree on the road by a decisive 53-38 margin.
When it comes to explaining why Lamar lost, one person who can't be blamed is Xavier "Zoom" Jackson. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was NyShaun "Shaun" Quillen, who scored 7 points.
Kingstree was led to victory by Micheal Kelly and Adarius Hilton. Kelly scored 13 points, while Hilton scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hilton has scored at least 25% of Kingstree's points.
Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kingstree, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lamar will look to defend their home court on Monday against Darlington at 7:30 p.m. Darlington is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Kingstree, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnsonville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
