Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cheyenne walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Canyon Springs Pioneers on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 20, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Raymundo Chevalier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Cheyenne's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Canyon Springs, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-12-1.

Looking ahead, Cheyenne will square off against Silverado at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Skyhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Desert Shields surely won't give up without a fight. Canyon Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
