Football Recap: Pine Tree Piles Up the Points Against Lumberton + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Pine Tree had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the Lumberton Raiders. Considering the Pirates have won four contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Pine Tree was led to victory by Bryk Bratton and Chris Nickoles. Bratton rushed for 106 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while Nickoles rushed for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. Rashaad Wofford was another key player, picking up 89 receiving yards and two TDs.

The victory made it two in a row for Pine Tree and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points in those games. As for Lumberton, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Coming up, Pine Tree will take on Yates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Lumberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
