Jacob Kennison posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out five batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for University: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Kennison and University will head out on the road to take on Preston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
