Tabernacle Christian skates past Mooresville Christian with ease

The Tabernacle Christian Eagles can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Mooresville Christian 62-31 at home. With that win, Tabernacle Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Tabernacle Christian was led to victory by Liz Southerland and Annie Sichting. Southerland dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 steals, while Sichting dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Sichting has scored at least a third of Tabernacle Christian's points.

Mooresville Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bailey Hayden, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Hayden is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Addison Hayden was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Mooresville Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Tabernacle Christian's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Mooresville Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Tabernacle Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Crothersville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crothersville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Mooresville Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Suburban Christian at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th.
