Bloomingdale had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Horizon Hawks a 20-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won seven matches by 20 points or more so far this season.

The critical scores for Bloomingdale came from Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti, Krista Albertson, and Jesenia Labrador.

Bloomingdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Serniotti and Alexa Riofriovedeno. Serniotti got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bloomingdale has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.5 points on average over those games. As for Horizon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-3.

Coming up, Bloomingdale will face off against Alonso at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulls 11.7, the Ravens 5.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Horizon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
