Basketball Recap: Vandalia Christian Takes a Loss

Vandalia Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Gospel Light Christian 67-29. Sadly, that's the fifth time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-50 last Saturday.

Despite the loss, Vandalia Christian still got an impressive performance from Izzi Settle, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Chase Buie, who earned four points and five boards.

Vandalia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Gospel Light Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia Christian has already played their next matchup (against Tabernacle Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gospel Light Christian will welcome Union Grove Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Gospel Light Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Union Grove Christian likes a good challenge.
