Baseball Game Preview: Millsap Bulldogs vs. Breckenridge Buckaroos

For the second straight game, Millsap will face off against Breckenridge. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Buckaroos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Millsap and Breckenridge had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckaroos on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Buckaroos recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Reid Green put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Dawson Lynch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Devon Briscoe was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

The win was the sixth in a row for Breckenridge, bringing their record up to 8-8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Millsap, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
