Basketball Recap: South Haven Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Haven). Everything went their way against the Caldwell Bluejays on Friday as the South Haven Cardinals made off with a 59-34 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cardinals needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Ella Risley and Ava Newell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Risley went 7 for 15 on her way to 17 points and five blocks, while Newell went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points and eight boards. That was a full 50% of Caldwell's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.
