Volleyball Recap: Apopka Takes a Loss

Apopka was the 3-1 winner over Bishop Moore when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Darters took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets on Tuesday. The Blue Darters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-27, 25-20.

Bishop Moore found their leader in sophomore Cole Ferris, who had 21 digs. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Ferris.

Apopka's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bishop Moore, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Apopka will head out to take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Moore, they will host Lyman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
